The programme will produce at least five (3) startup companies annually.
This programme is an annual two-week residential Leadership and Entrepreneurship Summer Camp that brings together teenagers
between the ages of ten (10) to fifteen (15) from both the private and public schools in Lagos State to participate in leadership
and entrepreneurship activities and sessions that develop their leadership capability and harness their entrepreneurship skills.
While the private students pay a subsidised fee for the programme, the nominated students from the public schools attend the
programme free of charge, aided by sponsorship from our individual and corporate partners. The character and leadership curriculum teach
leadership values through the use of interactive sessions, activities, case studies, real-life stories and practical experiences.
At the end of the event, participants go through an essay competition to test their understanding of the values of focus during
the programme. Ten (10) winners are taken annually for development as role models of the Centre all through their secondary
and tertiary education. The entrepreneurial classes make use of a rich curriculum to expose these teenagers to develop
entrepreneurial spirit, innovate and lead them to develop startup companies that are cultivated into reality with the
support of mentors from The CELEEN Initiative.
The programme will produce at least five (3) startup companies annually.
We start from turning their passion to commercially viable ideas through the understanding of product and service development
stages, marketing, human resources and money management.
Hopefully, the programme generates at least three (3) startup companies.
During the period, these young adults cook their own meals, get their own water, clean their own rooms, run businesses and run a
government. The children are divided into four groups with leaders and law makers to form a government that will run the camp,
pass the laws and set the rules.
